INDOOR ADVENTURES
Muskoka’s indoor adventures
There’s much more to Muskoka than the stunning scenery. Muskoka’s 17 communities offer countless opportunities for exciting indoor adventures. Explore main street architecture while you shop at quaint stores offering everything from one-of-a-kind art and crafts to cottage furniture. Perhaps visit a museum and learn about Muskoka’s rich heritage, or take the family to a play or theatre performance, music concert or movie… maybe even skate or play a game of hockey at a local arena. The list of adventures is endless.
Muskoka has nine museums and historic sites dedicated to everything from transportation to famous people, real and imagined. Many host fun-filled family and educational events, often including local artisans and writers. Many area artists also open their studios to the public as part of a summer driving route or a spectacular fall colour tour.
If it’s pampering you’re after, Muskoka is home to numerous world-class spas, some of them set against the most spectacular scenery to be found anywhere.
