Stand up Paddleboarding is the newest craze plying the waterways, and Muskoka's countless bodies of clean, sparkling water make it a great SUP destination. This new water sport combines kayaking with surfing, giving the paddler an entirely new perspective and feel.

There are a number of ways for you to try stand up paddleboarding in Muskoka. Some resorts and cottage resorts in Muskoka have them available on-site for guests to use. There are also a number of outfitters in the Muskoka region that are right on the water, so they can outfit you with rentals, tips, and get you in the water on-site!

In Bracebridge, Liv Outside backs on to the South Branch of the Muskoka River. You can rent a stand up paddleboard and paddle your way towards Muskoka's largest waterfall in downtown Bracebridge, Bracebridge Falls. In Huntsville, Algonquin Outfitters backs onto the North Branch of the Muskoka River, so you can cruise through beautiful historic downtown Huntsville and take in the sights. At Swift Outdoor Centre in Georgian Bay, you can paddle the world's largest freshwater archipelago, admiring the wind swept pines and rugged Georgian Bay Coast. At Algonquin Outfitters Oxtongue Lake, paddle towards the most majestic waterfall in the region, Ragged Falls. These trips vary in length and skill levels, so talk with the rental providers. You can also rent a canoe or kayak for these suggested trips.

Whatever your experience level is, there is a stand up paddling experience for you. The outfitters in the region will help you get the most out of this exciting experience so you can enjoy your day paddling on the crystal clear waters of Muskoka.
