There is nothing better than old-school Italian cooking, and Muskoka has a new restaurant that brings the tastes of Italy to cottage country.
With a menu inspired by a family vault of classic Italian recipes, a mastro Chef from Tuscany, and a mantra of fresh, home-made, and autentico Italiano, Rende Italian Eatery has created a buzz around Muskoka.
Located in downtown Bracebridge just steps from the Silver Bridge, Rende officially opened its doors the May 2/4 long weekend to rave reviews:
5 Stars: Amazing food. Ate so much I can hardly move. The owner is amazing and very funny guy. The chef is amazing. I would eat here every day if I lived closer. Would recommend to anyone who loves authentic Italian food.

The menu at Rende looks amazing, and is probably a good indication as to why they have been receiving 5 Star reviews since their opening.
A must-try is Nonna Angelina’s Pasta Frittata. Using Nonna’s recipe all the way from Napoli, this dish is a taste of il bel paese. Another top pick is their Italian Sausage & Swiss Chard; pan seared fresh Italian sausage made with fennel in a tasty garlic sauce and served with red & green peppers, onions and swiss chard, this dish captures all of your senses.
Of course, it wouldn’t be an Italian Eatery without the classics; Lasagna baked fresh daily, Chicken Parmigiano served with their made in-house, family recipe tomato sauce, Antipasto, Panzerotti, Pasta Bolognese, Pizza (try the Pizza al Carmine: Tomato sauce, mozzarella, red peppers, garlic, olive oil, cacciatore & oregano), Bruschetta, Pasta e Fagiolio and the list goes on.
Dessert buffs, pay attention because their dessert menu is worth the trip alone. An espresso with a slice of Fererro Rocher Cake is a match made in heaven, and their secret family recipe Nutella (big) Pizza (pie) is amore!
Muskoka is gaining a reputation as a foodie hot spot, and a new eatery that traces its roots back to Italy certainly adds to the local flavour!
