Jet-Powered Surfing that is!
Deep in the heart of Gravenhurst is a water sport adventure you probably haven’t tried … but you ought to!
SurfSkateFly, a water sport rental and sales company out of Gravenhurst, is bringing a new thrill to Muskoka’s lakes with their jet-powered surfboards.
True to their nature of taking exciting sports and making them MORE exciting, SurfSkateFly takes the thrill of surfing and tweaks it just a little so you can create your own waves. The end result? A jet-powered surfboard!
Think stand-up paddleboards with a motor attached, so you can zip around the lake effortlessly for a good ol’ fashioned day on the water.
There is nothing better than a day on the water, and these jet-powered surfboards make it super easy to get out on the lake this summer. With no boating license required for use on Ontario lakes, literally anyone can ride. Riding is easier than a stand-up paddleboard, but way more addictive and fun – once you’ve tried these cool machines you’ll be hooked!
Just like learning to waterski or wakeboard, you will likely fall once or twice your first time out until you get the hang of it. You’ll pick it up pretty quick, and once you have it figured out you are golden!
The surfboards range in speeds from 30km/hr to over 55km/hr, allowing you to create your wave at any speed you are comfortable with. The gas or electric motors provide little to no carbon footprint and the boards are made in Canada. Be sure to check them out and book your perfect day on the water!
