If you are looking for something cool and refreshing on a hot summer’s day in Muskoka, take a stroll down to the Muskoka Wharf in Gravenhurst and try Cottage Springs Distillery’s wildly popular line-up of sparkling adult beverages. These new-to-market bevvies have been an absolute hit across Ontario, with thirsty cottagers clearing out the shelves of their local LCBO.
After three friends, turned craft brewing entrepreneurs of the Iconic Brewing Co., went on a weekend retreat in Muskoka, they were inspired by the cottage lifestyle to create a new line of drinks. They wanted something delicious that could be enjoyed beside the lake or beside the fire, without all the sugar of traditional coolers and ciders. With Muskoka as its inspiration, Cottage Springs Vodka Soda was born.
Fast forward to this July, and the three founders have decided to host a summer-long beach party at the future location of their new Gravenhurst Distillery. They have pulled out all the stops transforming the site into a beach side retreat with truckloads of sand, picnic tables, Muskoka chairs, games, BBQ eats and drinks on tap.
The Beach Patio is serving up their popular Cottage Springs Distillery Vodka Soda line-up (Lemon Lime and Ontario Peach), and Lake of Bays Brewery is on tap for craft beer lovers. Every weekend this summer, you can come down put your feet in the sand, toss around a bean bag and enjoy the best part of what ‘the cottage’ has to offer!
With plans to build a full distillery that includes a retail outlet and patio overlooking Muskoka Bay, this is just the beginning of the Cottage Springs story in Muskoka. Visit Cottage Springs Distillery at their summer Beach Patio, and welcome them to cottage country!
