(1) In the Berries
The photo opp in the berries at Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery is likely one of the most popular photos in Muskoka during the fall. This fun photo opp is making its rounds on social media and making quite the buzz! Visit the marsh in October to get this candid shot!
(2) Dorset Fire Tower
The Dorset Scenic Lookout Tower is located off Highway 35 just north of the village of Dorset. The original tower was built in 1922, was 25 metres high (82 feet) and used as a fire lookout tower. Visitors are welcome to climb to the observation deck which is 142 metres (465 feet) above Lake of Bays, and provides one of the best views in Muskoka!
(3) The Tree in Port Sydney
Located on Indian’s Landing in Port Sydney, the maple tree is a local icon. Known affectionately as ‘The Family Tree’, this wonder that stretches out towards the river turns a vibrant red, and attracts many a photographers (Update for 2017, the leaves have already fallen off the tree! There are still plenty of beautiful sites in Port Sydney along the Muskoka River to check out).
(4) Oxtongue River Rapids

(5) Big Bend Lookout at Arrowhead Provincial Park
This truly spectacular lookout point in Huntsville is unlike anything you’ve ever seen! The meandering Big East River at Arrowhead Provincial Park is highlighted by exposed sand bluffs, and colours as far as the eye can see.
(6) Lion’s Lookout in Huntsville
The Lion’s Lookout in Huntsville offers two truly remarkable vantage points. One vista overlooks the charming town of Huntsville, while another gives you an unobstructed view of Fairy Lake. Truly worth the hike up to the top.
(7) Huckleberry Rock
One of the most scenic lookouts in all of Muskoka, Huckleberry Rock is well worth the hike to capture this view! Facing west, you should be able to capture some spectacular sunset shots if you time it right. The rock here also has some historical significance, as it is some of the oldest in the world, over a billion years old!
(8) World Famous Algonquin Park
Our neighbours to the north, Algonquin Park is a must-see for leaf peepers. Featuring dozens of walking trails with scenic vistas overlooking beautiful red maples, Ontario’s most famous provincial park is a photographer’s dream.
(9) One of the many hiking trails … just look up!
Muskoka has dozens of well marked trail systems throughout the region. You may even see some wildlife along your way.
