Great Lake Swimmers

The JUNO nominated, Polaris Prize shortlisted Toronto group, fronted by lead singer-songwriter Tony Dekkerare will be at Peter’s Players! Tony decided to challenge himself by writing new music without any acoustic guitar which has always been his instrumental mainstay. He further digressed from previous songwriting patterns by looking at each track individually and then tailoring the instrumentation to bring each song to life in its own distinctive way.

Fresh Fall Fashion Show

Let’s see your best catwalk as you strut into the Gravenhurst Opera House for the 15th annual Fresh Fall Fashion Show, a night filled with local food, fashion, and LOTS of prizes. The cocktail reception starts at 6:00 PM followed by the fashion show at 7:00 PM.  Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at Muskoka Bay Clothing and Tara’s.

Blue Rodeo

For close to thirty years now, Blue Rodeo has taken the road less travelled – and succeeded far beyond anyone’s expectations. The band emerged in the early 80’s as a countrified rock band in the era of hair metal and glossy pop. Despite sticking out like a sore thumb (or maybe because of it), their single “Try” became omnipresent on radio across Canada and set in motion a three-decade long career of headlining every club, theatre and arena in Canada.

Derek Edwards – So Here’s the Thing

From Vegas to St. John’s, this Just For Laughs veteran, Derek Edwards, is universally considered to be among the comic elite. Certainly, his peers think so, as evidenced by the fact that he’s a four-time nominee, and winner of Best Standup Comic – Canadian Comedy Awards, as well as a multiple Gemini nominee for Best Performance in a Comedy.

Cabaret Funraiser 

Two beloved performers are back for one night only to wow you, make you laugh and get you dancing and singing along. Have you ever wondered how Debbie Collins would play the leading role in ‘Annie’? Or Anita in ‘West Side Story’? How about J.P. Baldwin as ‘The Little Mermaid’? These are only a few examples of the roles that got away from these two zany performers. Debbie and J.P. have over 50+ years experience in Canadian Theatre and have some amazing tales to share with a backstage look at what performers really do!

Bruce in the USA

This high-energy musical experience is a note-perfect and visually accurate recreation of a Bruce Springsteen & The E St. Band show. Matt Ryan, from the World Famous “Legends In Concert” cast, began playing the Springsteen character in 2000, in Legends “full scale” Las Vegas show. The great success in the famous Las Vegas show brought him to performances across the world, eventually evolving his character into the Bruce In The USA show.

The Legend of Johnny Cash

The Legend of Johnny Cash, starring Jim Yorfido as “The Man in Black” backed by a live all-star band. As an international touring artist, Yorfido has thrilled audiences around the globe with his portrayal of Johnny Cash, which captures the look, charisma and striking baritone voice of Johnny Cash in concert. As a special bonus, Jim will be joined on stage by his lovely, multi-talented wife Pam in the dual roles of Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn.

Orillia Silver Band Fall Harvest

Head over to the Gravenhurst Opera House for a concert conducted by Neil Barlow. The band will play many incredible pieces, including Paul Lovatt-Cooper’s The Light Fantastic, encapsulating the grandeur and spirit of the 2008 Olympic Games whilst also paying homage to the host city of Beijing.

Billy Joel and The Piano Men

“Billy Joel and The Piano Men” celebrates the greatest piano artists of all time including Billy Joel, Elton John, Burton Cummings, Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Nat King Cole, Liberace, Fats Domino, Floyd Cramer and more. Starring the amazing Bruce Tournay from the Memphis Cats on piano and vocals, this unique show combines fantastic live performances with costumes, humour and interesting stories relating to the music and artists being performed.

Yuk Yuks On Tour

Yuk Yuk’s stand-up comedy tour has been a humorous hit in Muskoka. Three comedians hit the stage for a night of entertainment. Ian Sirota has opened for Jerry Seinfeld, Jim Gaffigan, Dennis Miller, Robin Williams and Dana Carvey and headlines comedy clubs across North America. Tom Henry is a comedian from Toronto. He has appeared at festivals such as Just for Laughs, San Francisco Sketchfest and Bridgetown (Portland). He’s opened for comics such as Tim Meadows, Nikki Glaser and Moshe Kasher. He’s been a regular on Andy Kindler’s alternative show at Just For Laughs. Hunter Collins is North America’s foremost nincompoop comedian. He recently hosted the 18th annual Canadian Comedy Awards and his latest comedy album “Nincom2oop” debuted at #1 on the iTunes comedy charts.

Woodstock
