About
Interested in coming for a Guided Tour?
Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary is open to the public by appointment only.
Reservations can be made up to 8 weeks in advance to experience one of their many Guided Group Tours, Family Day Tours, or a Private Tour (details below). 100% of tour proceeds go directly towards caring for the animals at Aspen Valley.Â
All experiences provide the unique opportunity to see the Sanctuarys permanent residents, hear their stories, and learn how we can live in harmony with wildlife. Aspen Valley has moose, coyotes, bears, and wolf packs in residence to name a few of the animals you may meet while on a Guided Tour. Â
A Sanctuary is a place where animals are protected and given shelter. Aspen Valley is their forever home, so it is their animals’ decision whether or not they wish to be seen. Their furry friends are usually more active earlier in the day, and have quiet time in the afternoon.
Animals in rehabilitation are not a part of these tours. Additionally, Aspen Valley does not buy, breed, or sell wildlife.Â
Absolutely NO PETS are permitted on the Sanctuary grounds at any time (this includes the parking lot). The wolves, coyotes, and foxes are extremely sensitive to other canids; therefore, bringing your pet (even in your car) is highly disruptive to the animals living here.
They care about the welfare of all animals, including your pet – please do not leave them in your car while you are on a tour.
Guided Group Tours are at 9:00 and 11:00, year round, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, during the fall and winter months. We will be closed for all tours on December 24, 25, 26, 31 & January 1.
