Step back in time with a hike along the Dorset Heritage Trail, a marked trail that takes you up and down Tower Hill in Dorset. With a total distance of about 1.5 km, this loop trail can be completed in less than half an hour, making it a perfect option for a quick outdoor adventure. The self-guided tour provides fascinating historical information on 21 points of interest in the village, allowing you to immerse yourself in the rich heritage of the community. Most visitors find it easier to walk up the steep trail and down the less steep trail, but you can choose your own path. The trail begins and ends at the Dorset Heritage Museum just off Hwy 35. Parking is available here, except during the busiest times in the fall.
