Muskoka’s First (and only) Axe Throwing Operation

The fun begins June 30

June 25, 2018 – MUSKOKA ON

Axe throwing is all the craze right now with venues popping up all over South Western and Central Ontario. Well now Muskoka has its own axe throwing experience, with a truly unique and “true to us” facility in Huntsville.

Where most axe throwing experiences take place in a big concrete warehouse, Bush Axe Throwing puts a Muskoka twist on the experience, actually taking you into the forest to perfect your toss.

There are a couple of ways for you to try your hand at this new-to-Muskoka experience.

Traditional Axe Throwing is a great introduction to the activity, with a guide taking you for one hour of target practice and games.

The Bush Poker Course takes traditional axe throwing and turns it into an adventure. Guides will take you on a short stroll through the Muskoka forest to be challenged by their 16-station course. Throw from a stump, walk the plank, hit targets and more fun challenges await. True to their name, you have the option of incorporating poker (the card game) into the Bush Poker Course. Participants get cards at each station and try and make their best poker hand, creating a game within a game that always seems to get super competitive.

The bigger the group, the more entertaining the experience is. It is always great to hear the cheers (or jeers) with every shot as the group makes their way through the course. With four sites of four stations, it is possible for Bush Poker Axe to host groups up to 24.

This is definitely not your typical activity, which is what makes it so perfect for groups. If you have been left in charge of planning the activities, plan something no one has ever done before. Bachelorettes, stags, family, or just a group of friends, the more people, the more fun it is!

Evening sessions are available every day June 30 – October 31, so there is no excuse not to check out Muskoka’s latest, greatest attraction.
