When to Visit
The museum is open from May to October, and you are going to want to visit during daytime hours.
April is a great time to visit, before the black fly season.
If you visit in May or June, be prepared with the bug spray.
Late July and August is another great time, just pack some water for the summer heat.
September is a lovely time to visit and offers great hiking temperatures that aren’t too hot.
If you wait a few more weeks for the fall colours, you will be in for a treat! The fascinating outdoor gallery and forest hike combo is even more brilliant during the fall colour display. Learn more
While in Town
They do a wonderful high tea, or if you are just in the mood for a good old fashion cup of tea, they have a variety to choose from (and they’re all delicious). Everything on the menu will make your mouth water. There is also the option for take-out, so if you are feeling fancy you could bring your tea and scones on the go. Learn more
